CONGRATULATING AN ATHEIST

Normally, when I meet an atheist, the first thing I like to do is to congratulate him and say, " My special congratulations to you", because most of the people who believe in God are doing blind belief - he is a Christian, because his father is a Christian; he is a Hindu, because his father is a Hindu; the majority of the people in the world are blindly following the religion of their fathers. An atheist, on the other hand, even though he may belong to a religious family, uses his intellect to deny the existence of God; what ever concept or qualities of God he may have learnt in his religion may not seem to be logical to him.

My Muslim brothers may question me, "Zakir, why are you congratulating an atheist?" The reason that I am congratulating an atheist is because he agrees with the first part of the Shahada i.e. the Islamic Creed, ‘La ilaaha’ - meaning ‘there is no God’.

So half my job is already done; now the only part left is ‘il lallah’ i.e. ‘BUT ALLAH’ which I shall do Insha Allah. With others (who are not atheists) I have to first remove from their minds the wrong concept of God they may have and then put the correct concept of one true God.

LOGICAL CONCEPT OF GOD

My first question to the atheist will be: "What is the definition of God?" For a person to say there is no God, he should know what is the meaning of God. If I hold a book and say that ‘this is a pen’, for the opposite person to say, ‘it is not a pen’, he should know what is the definition of a pen, even if he does not know nor is able to recognise or identify the object I am holding in my hand. For him to say this is not a pen, he should at least know what a pen means. Similarly for an atheist to say ‘there is no God’, he should at least know the concept of God. His concept of God would be derived from the surroundings in which he lives. The god that a large number of people worship has got human qualities - therefore he does not believe in such a god. Similarly a Muslim too does not and should not believe in such false gods.

If a non-Muslim believes that Islam is a merciless religion with something to do with terrorism; a religion which does not give rights to women; a religion which contradicts science; in his limited sense that non-Muslim is correct to reject such Islam. The problem is he has a wrong picture of Islam. Even I reject such a false picture of Islam, but at the same time, it becomes my duty as a Muslim to present the correct picture of Islam to that non-Muslim i.e. Islam is a merciful religion, it gives equal rights to the women, it is not incompatible with logic, reason and science; if I present the correct facts about Islam, that non-Muslim may Inshallah accept Islam.

Similarly the atheist rejects the false gods and the duty of every Muslim is to present the correct concept of God which he shall Insha Allah not refuse.

QUR’AN AND MODERN SCIENCE

The methods of proving the existence of God with usage of the material provided in the ‘Concept of God in Islam’ to an atheist may satisfy some but not all.

Many atheists demand a scientific proof for the existence of God. I agree that today is the age of science and technology. Let us use scientific knowledge to kill two birds with one stone, i.e. to prove the existence of God and simultaneously prove that the Qur’an is a revelation of God.

If a new object or a machine, which no one in the world has ever seen or heard of before, is shown to an atheist or any person and then a question is asked, " Who is the first person who will be able to provide details of the mechanism of this unknown object? After little bit of thinking, he will reply, ‘the creator of that object.’ Some may say ‘the producer’ while others may say ‘the manufacturer.’ What ever answer the person gives, keep it in your mind, the answer will always be either the creator, the producer, the manufacturer or some what of the same meaning, i.e. the person who has made it or created it. Don’t grapple with words, whatever answer he gives, the meaning will be same, therefore accept it.

THEORY OF PROBABILITY

In mathematics there is a theory known as ‘Theory of Probability’. If you have two options, out of which one is right, and one is wrong, the chances that you will chose the right one is half, i.e. one out of the two will be correct. You have 50% chances of being correct. Similarly if you toss a coin the chances that your guess will be correct is 50% (1 out of 2) i.e. 1/2. If you toss a coin the second time, the chances that you will be correct in the second toss is again 50% i.e. half. But the chances that you will be correct in both the tosses is half multiplied by half (1/2 x 1/2) which is equal to 1/4 i.e. 50% of 50% which is equal to 25%. If you toss a coin the third time, chances that you will be correct all three times is (1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2) that is 1/8 or 50% of 50% of 50% that is 12½%.

A dice has got six sides. If you throw a dice and guess any number between 1 to 6, the chances that your guess will be correct is 1/6. If you throw the dice the second time, the chances that your guess will be correct in both the throws is (1/6 x 1/6) which is equal to 1/36. If you throw the dice the third time, the chances that all your three guesses are correct is (1/6 x 1/6 x 1/6) is equal to 1/216 that is less than 0.5 %.

Let us apply this theory of probability to the Qur’an, and assume that a person has guessed all the information that is mentioned in the Qur’an which was unknown at that time. Let us discuss the probability of all the guesses being simultaneously correct.

At the time when the Qur’an was revealed, people thought the world was flat, there are several other options for the shape of the earth. It could be triangular, it could be quadrangular, pentagonal, hexagonal, heptagonal, octagonal, spherical, etc. Lets assume there are about 30 different options for the shape of the earth. The Qur’an rightly says it is spherical, if it was a guess the chances of the guess being correct is 1/30.

The light of the moon can be its own light or a reflected light. The Qur’an rightly says it is a reflected light. If it is a guess, the chances that it will be correct is 1/2 and the probability that both the guesses i.e the earth is spherical and the light of the moon is reflected light is 1/30 x 1/2 = 1/60.

Further, the Qur’an also mentions every living thing is made of water. Every living thing can be made up of either wood, stone, copper, aluminum, steel, silver, gold, oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, oil, water, cement, concrete, etc. The options are say about 10,000. The Qur’an rightly says that everything is made up of water. If it is a guess, the chances that it will be correct is 1/10,000 and the probability of all the three guesses i.e. the earth is spherical, light of moon is reflected light and everything is created from water being correct is 1/30 x 1/2 x 1/10,000 = 1/60,000 which is equal to about .0017%.

The Qur’an speaks about hundreds of things that were not known to men at the time of its revelation. Only in three options the result is .0017%. I leave it upto you, to work out the probability if all the hundreds of the unknown facts were guesses, the chances of all of them being correct guesses simultaneously and there being not a single wrong guess. It is beyond human capacity to make all correct guesses without a single mistake, which itself is sufficient to prove to a logical person that the origin of the Qur’an is Divine.
 

CREATOR IS THE AUTHOR OF THE QUR’AN

The only logical answer to the question as to who could have mentioned all these scientific facts 1400 years ago before they were discovered, is exactly the same answer initially given by the atheist or any person, to the question who will be the first person who will be able to tell the mechanism of the unknown object. It is the ‘CREATOR’, the producer, the Manufacturer of the whole universe and its contents. In the English language He is ‘God’, or more appropriate in the Arabic language, ‘ALLAH’.

QUR’AN IS A BOOK OF SIGNS AND NOT SCIENCE

Let me remind you that the Qur’an is not a book of Science, ‘S-C-I-E-N-C-E’ but a book of Signs ‘S-I-G-N-S’ i.e. a book of ayaats. The Qur’an contains more than 6,000 ayaats, i.e. ‘signs’, out of which more than a thousand speak about Science. I am not trying to prove that the Qur’an is the word of God using scientific knowledge as a yard stick because any yardstick is supposed to be more superior than what is being checked or verified. For us Muslims the Qur’an is the Furqan i.e. criteria to judge right from wrong and the ultimate yardstick which is more superior to scientific knowledge.

But for an educated man who is an atheist, scientific knowledge is the ultimate test which he believes in. We do know that science many a times takes ‘U’ turns, therefore I have restricted the examples only to scientific facts which have sufficient proof and evidence and not scientific theories based on assumptions. Using the ultimate yardstick of the atheist, I am trying to prove to him that the Qur’an is the word of God and it contains the scientific knowledge which is his yardstick which was discovered recently, while the Qur’an was revealed 1400 year ago. At the end of the discussion, we both come to the same conclusion that God though superior to science, is not incompatible with it.
 

SCIENCE IS ELIMINATING MODELS OF GOD BUT NOT GOD

Francis Bacon, the famous philosopher, has rightly said that a little knowledge of science makes man an atheist, but an in-depth study of science makes him a believer in God. Scientists today are eliminating models of God, but they are not eliminating God. If you translate this into Arabic, it is La illaha illal la, There is no god, (god with a small ‘g’ that is fake god) but God (with a capital ‘G’).

Surah Fussilat:

"Soon We will show them our signs in the (farthest) regions (of the earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth. Is it not enough that thy Lord doth witness all things?"

[Al-Quran 41:53]

Zakat is the most powerful tool for social justice and poverty alleviation. Islam had it compulsory on all Muslims who have balance of money in cash or kind after one year and after all expenditures are met. Ramadan is the best month for taking stock of the wealth and distribute amongst the deserving people as prescribed in the Qur’aan:

"By no means shall you attain goodness (piety, righteousness and paradise) unless you spend (in the cause of Allah) of which you love; and whatever good you spend, Allah knows it well". (3:92)

"Take (give out) alms from their wealth in order to purify them and sanctify them with it…" (9:103)

"O, you who believe! Spend of that with which We have provided for you, before a Day comes when there will be no bargaining, nor friendship, not intercession. And is the disbelievers, who are wrong doers" (2:254)

"And there are those who hoard gold and silver, and do not spend it in the way of Allah, announce to them a most grievous penalty (when) on the day of Qiyamath heat will be produced out of that wealth in the fire of jahannam, then with it they will be branded on their foreheads and their flanks and backs. (It will be aid to them) This is the treasure which you hoarded for yourselves, taste then the treasure that you had been hoarding" (9:34)

"This is the book (Al Quran) whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al Muttaqoon (pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained), who believe in the gaib (unseen) and perform salah (iqamat salah) and spend out of what we have provided for them (give zakat, spend on themselves, their parents, wife and children and also give charity to the poor and also in the cause of Islam) (2:3-4)

Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) said "Invite the people to testify that Lalilaha illah (none has the right to be worshipped but allah) and I am Allah’s Messenger if if they obey you to do so (Islamic monotheism), then inform them that Allah has enjoined on them five slat (prayers) in every day and night (in 24 hours) and if they obey you to do so, then inform them that Allah has made it obligatory for them to pay the sadaqat (zakat) form their properties and it is to be taken form the wealthy among them and given to them poor among them" ( Bukhari: 702) "Pay the zakat so that your Islam becomes complete" "Every ummah (nation) has a test to undergo, my ummah will be tried through wealth". " In order to enter praradise, you should worship Allah (alone and none else( and do not ascribe any partners to Him, offer iqmat-as-salat pay the zakat and keep good relations your kith and kin " (Bukhari :703) "Allah will bring about a drought on the nation that does not give zakat"."The person on whom Allah bestowed wealth, and the does not give zakat, his wealth will be turned into a venomous bald serpent on the day of Qiyamah, which will wind around his neck and bite his jaws and say : "I am your wealth, I am your treasure"."Good news to the man who earns his wealth and spends for feeding the poor and need and commits no sins". "Be afraid of the curse of the oppressed because there is no screen between his invocation and Allah."

Allah (swt) has provided due food and shelter for all His creations. But he wanted to test the man and therefore He gave more provisions to some people compared to others. In fact He has made it available for all the human beings and other creatures but due to callousness of men, he does not share his wealth with others. Man is responsible for his own destruction. Allah (swt) says " And no living creature is on earth but its provision is due from Allah. And He knows its dwelling place and its deposits (grave or womb) all is in a Clear Book (Lauhul mahfooz – the book of decrees with Allah) (

Benefits of Reciting and Memorizing Surah Yaseen

Quran is the greatest marvel and blessing of Allah Almighty, which He has bestowed upon mankind. In this Book, a person can find solution to any problem and answer to all the questions provided that a person views and analyzes it objectively. It carries numerous intellectual, political, social, moral and guidelines related to every aspect of life for a non-believer, however, for a believer it contains greater promises .
For a believer there is reward against each word of Quran that is recited. This recitation of The Holy Quran in addition to adding religious reward also influences on the life of a person in numerous ways. Moreover, besides the general text of Quran, there are special and more reverend chapters compared to others. One of such parts of Quran is the Surah Yaseen.

Surah Yaseen is one of the most reverend Surah of Quran and Muslims all over the world memorize it, recite it, and listen to its recitation with great respect and sanctity. There is a reason behind the greater prestige of Surah Yaseen as it is mentioned by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in His various hadiths entailing numerous benefits of its recitation. The lines below discuss the major benefits of reciting Surah Yaseen.

1. The Heart Of Quran:

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said in one of His hadiths in the following way:

“Surely everything has a heart, and the heart of the Quran is Yaseen. I would love that it be in the heart of every person of my people.” (Tafsir-al- Sabuni Vol.2)

From this hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) it becomes clear that like all other things that have a heart, Quran also has a heart and it is Sura Yasin. From this a person can only guess the importance of Yaseen, as if a single word from Quran carries great reward then the heart is surely to reward more and greater than that. Moreover, the other thing that becomes clear from this hadith is the fact that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) showed His likeness for the memorization or remembrance of Yaseen by His followers.

2. Grand Reward:

Another great advantage or benefit of reciting Sura Yaseen is mentioned in the following hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):

“Whoever recites Yaseen once, Allah will record the reward of reciting the Quran ten times.” (Tirmidhi 2812/A)

This hadith does not require any explanation as it is clear from it that reading Yaseen once is equivalent to reciting of Quran ten times. Therefore, all the more reasons for a Muslim to memorize Surah Yaseen so that it can be read couple of times in a day to get grand rewards the worth of which is even beyond human comprehension.

3. Intercession:

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“Indeed in the Noble Quran there is a Surah, for its reading will intercede and will be a means of forgiveness for listener. Listen carefully, it is Surah Yaseen, in the Torah it is called Muimmah.”

It was enquired, “O’ Messenger of Allah, what is Muimmah?”

Prophet (PBUH) replied:

“It contains for its reader the benefits of this world, it removes from him the dread of the next life, and it is called Dafiah and Qadhiyah.”

It was asked again, “How is this Surah Dafiah and Qadiyah?”

Prophet (PBUH) replied:

“It takes away from its reader all afflictions and fulfills his need. Whoever recites it, it will be made equal to twenty pilgrimages. Whoever shall listen to it, it will be as thousand dinars, which he has given as charity in the path of Allah. And whoever shall write it and then drink it, it will enter into his heart a thousand cures, a thousand radiant lights, a thousand times more increase in belief, a thousand mercies, a thousand blessings, a thousand times more increase in guidance, and will remove from him all gall and disease.”  (Tirmidhi)

This hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) explains the magnanimous and diverse range of benefits it carries. Moreover, the intercessional benefits of it are not limited to the person who recites it only, rather the benefits also take into consideration the person who listens to it and who uses Surah Yaseen in the unconventional way of writing it and drinking it. Therefore, no matter in whichever way Surah Yaseen is interacted with, it results in opening the doors of countless blessings and benefits for a believer.

4. For The Dying Person:

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said in one of His hadiths:

“Recite Yaseen on those who are dying.” (Dawud)

From this hadith it becomes clear that Surah Yaseen is a recommendation pertaining to attending of a dying person. A person who is dying needs comfort and some kind of spiritual help to pass on to the next world with ease, therefore, at such a time if there is the Heart of Quran being recited, it surely helps the dying person and brings ease and peace to the excruciating process.

5. Forgiveness:

Regarding the forgiveness benefits of Surah Yaseen, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said the following:

“Whoever recites Surah Yaseen at night seeking the pleasure of Allah, that night he will be forgiven.” (Abu Nuaym)

This hadith also makes it clear that  if Surah Yaseen is recited with true and pure intentions of pleasing Allah Almighty, then the ultimate result is the person who recites it during the night will wake up free of sin the next morning. Therefore, if a believer ensures reciting Surah Yaseen before going to sleep and thinks in his heart and mind that it is done for the pleasure of Allah Almighty, then he or she should remain confident that their sins will be forgiven while they are asleep.

Bottom Line:

In a nutshell, Surah Yaseen is undoubtedly one of the most reverend, prestigious and benefits bringing Surahs of Quran. Therefore, if a Muslim wishes to attain benefits of all kinds from Quran recitation, then it is imperative that he or she makes recitation of Surah Yaseen a part of everyday life. In this regard memorization of Surah Yaeen can help a great deal with regards to its recitation.

the Athiest

Long ago in the city of Baghdad, there was a Muslim empire. On one side of the River Tigris were the royal palaces and on the other side was the city.

The Muslims were gathered in the Royal Palace when an athiest approached them.

He said to them:

 ‘I don’t believe in God, there cannot be a God, you cannot hear Him or see Him, you’re wasting your time! Bring me your best debator and I will debate this issue with him.’

The best debator at the time was Imam Abu Hanifah Rahimullah. A messenger from amongst the Muslims was sent over the River Tigris to the city, where Abu Hanifah Rahimullah was, in order to tell him about the athiest who was awaiting him.

On crossing the River Tigris, the messenger conveyed the message to Abu Hanifah, Rahimullah saying:

‘Oh Abu Hanifah, an athiest is waiting for you, to debate you, please come!’

Abu Hanifah Rahimullah told the messeneger that he would be on his way.

The messenger went over the River Tigris once again and to the Royal Palaces, where everyone including the athiest awaited the arrival of Abu Hanifah, Rahimullah.

It was sunset at the time and one hour had passed, but Abu Hanifah, Rahimullah still hadn’t arrived.

Another hour had passed, but still there was no sign of him.

The Muslims started to become tense and worried about his late arrival.

They did not want the athiest to think that they were too scared to debate him, yet they did not want to take up the challenge themselves as Abu Hanifah, Rahimullah was the best of Debators from amongst the Muslims.

Yet, another hour passed, and suddenly the athiest started laughing and said:

‘Your best debator is too scared! He knows he’s wrong, he is too frightened to come and debate with me. I gurantee he will not turn up today.’

The Muslims increased in apprehension and eventually it had passed midnight, and the athiest had a smile on his face. The clock ticked on, and finally Abu Hanifah, Rahimullah had arrived. The Muslims inquired about his lateness and remarked:

‘Oh Abu Hanifah, a messenger sent for you hours ago, and you arrive now, explain your lateness to us.’

Abu Hanifah, Rahimullah apologises for his lateness and begins to explain, while the atheist listens to his story.

‘Once the messenger delivered the message to me, I began to make my way to the River Tigris, and on reaching the river bank I realised there was no boat, in order to cross the river. It was getting dark, and I looked around, there was no boat anywhere nor was there a navigator or a sailor in order for me to cross the river to get to the Royal Palaces. I continued to look around for a boat, as I did not want the athiest to think I was running away and did not want to debate with him.'

'Now there I was standing on the river bank looking for a navigator or a boat when something caught my attention in the middle of the river -- I looked straight ahead, and to my amazement I saw planks of wood rising to the surface from the sea bed.'

'I was shocked, amazed, I couldn’t believe what I saw seeing. Ready made planks of wood were rising up to the surface and joining together. They were all the same width and length, I was astounded at what I saw.'

I continued to look into the middle of the river, and then I saw nails coming up from the sea floor. They positioned themselves onto the boat and held the planks together, without them being banged. I stood in amazement and thought to myself, ‘Oh Allah, how can this happen, planks of wood rising to the surface by itself, and then nails positioning themselves onto the boat without being banged?’ I could not undertsand what was happening before my eyes.’

-- The athiest meanwhile was listening with a smile on his face.

Abu Hanifah, Rahimullah continued:

‘There I was still standing on the river bank watching these planks of wood join together with nails. I could see water seeping through the gaps in the wood, and suddenly I saw a type of glue suddenly appear from the river and it began sealing the gaps without someone having poured it.'

And again I thought, ‘Ya Allah, how is this possible, how can sealant appear and seal the gaps without someone having poured it, and nails appear without someone having banged them.’

'Then I looked closer and I could see a boat forming before my eyes, I stood in amazement and was filled with shock. All of a sudden a sail appeared and I thought to myself, ‘Now how is this happening, a boat has appeared before my eyes by itself, planks of wood, nails, sealant and now a sail, but how can I use this boat in order to cross the river to the Royal Palaces?’

I stood staring in wonderment and suddenly the boat began to move. It came towards me against the current. It stood floating beside me while I was on the river bank, as if telling me to embark onto it.

'Well, I went on the boat and yet again it began to move. There was no navigator or sailor on the boat, and the boat began to travel towards the direction of the royal palaces, without anyone having programmed it as to where to go.'

'I could not imagine what was happening, and how this boat had formed and was taking me to my destination against the flow of water. The boat eventually reached the other side of the River Tigris and I disembarked. I turned around and the boat had disappeared, and that is why I am late.’

At this moment, the athiest brust out laughing and remarked:

‘Oh Abu Hanifah, I heard that you were the best debator from amongst the Muslims, I heard that you were the wisest, the most knowledgable from amongst your people.

From seeing you today, I can say that you show none of these qualities. You speak of a boat appearing from nowhere, without someone having built it.

Nails positioning themselves without someone having banged them, sealant being poured without someone having poured it, and the boat taking you to your destination without a navigator against the tide, your taking childish, your talking rediculous, I swear I do not belive a word of it!’

Abu Hanifah, Rahimullah turned to the athiest and replied:

‘You don’t believe a word of it? You dont believe that nails can appear by themselves? You dont believe sealant can be poured by itself? You dont believe that a boat can move without a navigator, hence you don’t believe that a boat can appear without a boat maker?’

The athiest remarked defiantly:

‘Yes. That's right! I dont believe a single word of it!’

Abu Hanifah Rahimullah replied:

‘If you cannot believe that a boat came into being without a boat maker, than this is only a boat - So, how can you believe that the whole world, the universe, the stars, the oceans, and the planets came into being without a creator?'

The athiest astonished at his reply got up and fled.

Just once wouldn't you love for someone to simply show you the evidence for God's existence? No arm-twisting. No statements of, "You just have to believe." Well, here is an attempt to candidly offer some of the reasons which suggest that God exists.

But first consider this. When it comes to the possibility of God's existence, the Bible says that there are people who have seen sufficient evidence, but they have suppressed the truth about God.¹On the other hand, for those who want to know God if he is there, he says, "You will seek me and find me; when you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you."² Before you look at the facts surrounding God's existence, ask yourself, If God does exist, would I want to know him? Here then, are some reasons to consider...

1. Does God exist? The complexity of our planet points to a deliberate Designer who not only created our universe, but sustains it today.

Many examples showing God's design could be given, possibly with no end. But here are a few:

The Earth...its size is perfect. The Earth's size and corresponding gravity holds a thin layer of mostly nitrogen and oxygen gases, only extending about 50 miles above the Earth's surface. If Earth were smaller, an atmosphere would be impossible, like the planet Mercury. If Earth were larger, its atmosphere would contain free hydrogen, like Jupiter.³Earth is the only known planet equipped with an atmosphere of the right mixture of gases to sustain plant, animal and human life.

The Earth is located the right distance from the sun. Consider the temperature swings we encounter, roughly -30 degrees to +120 degrees. If the Earth were any further away from the sun, we would all freeze. Any closer and we would burn up. Even a fractional variance in the Earth's position to the sun would make life on Earth impossible. The Earth remains this perfect distance from the sun while it rotates around the sun at a speed of nearly 67,000 mph. It is also rotating on its axis, allowing the entire surface of the Earth to be properly warmed and cooled every day.

And our moon is the perfect size and distance from the Earth for its gravitational pull. The moon creates important ocean tides and movement so ocean waters do not stagnate, and yet our massive oceans are restrained from spilling over across the continents.⁴

Water...colorless, odorless and without taste, and yet no living thing can survive without it. Plants, animals and human beings consist mostly of water (about two-thirds of the human body is water). You'll see why the characteristics of water are uniquely suited to life:

It has an unusually high boiling point and freezing point. Water allows us to live in an environment of fluctuating temperature changes, while keeping our bodies a steady 98.6 degrees.

Water is a universal solvent. This property of water means that various chemicals, minerals and nutrients can be carried throughout our bodies and into the smallest blood vessels.⁵

Water is also chemically neutral. Without affecting the makeup of the substances it carries, water enables food, medicines and minerals to be absorbed and used by the body.

Water has a unique surface tension. Water in plants can therefore flow upward against gravity, bringing life-giving water and nutrients to the top of even the tallest trees.

Water freezes from the top down and floats, so fish can live in the winter.

Ninety-seven percent of the Earth's water is in the oceans. But on our Earth, there is a system designed which removes salt from the water and then distributes that water throughout the globe. Evaporation takes the ocean waters, leaving the salt, and forms clouds which are easily moved by the wind to disperse water over the land, for vegetation, animals and people. It is a system of purification and supply that sustains life on this planet, a system of recycled and reused water.⁶

The human brain...simultaneously processes an amazing amount of information. Your brain takes in all the colors and objects you see, the temperature around you, the pressure of your feet against the floor, the sounds around you, the dryness of your mouth, even the texture of your keyboard. Your brain holds and processes all your emotions, thoughts and memories. At the same time your brain keeps track of the ongoing functions of your body like your breathing pattern, eyelid movement, hunger and movement of the muscles in your hands.

The human brain processes more than a million messages a second.⁷ Your brain weighs the importance of all this data, filtering out the relatively unimportant. This screening function is what allows you to focus and operate effectively in your world. The brain functions differently than other organs. There is an intelligence to it, the ability to reason, to produce feelings, to dream and plan, to take action, and relate to other people.

The eye...can distinguish among seven million colors. It has automatic focusing and handles an astounding 1.5 million messages -- simultaneously.⁸ Evolution focuses on mutations and changes from and within existing organisms. Yet evolution alone does not fully explain the initial source of the eye or the brain -- the start of living organisms from nonliving matter.

2. Does God exist? The universe had a start - what caused it?

Scientists are convinced that our universe began with one enormous explosion of energy and light, which we now call the Big Bang. This was the singular start to everything that exists: the beginning of the universe, the start of space, and even the initial start of time itself.

Astrophysicist Robert Jastrow, a self-described agnostic, stated, "The seed of everything that has happened in the Universe was planted in that first instant; every star, every planet and every living creature in the Universe came into being as a result of events that were set in motion in the moment of the cosmic explosion...The Universe flashed into being, and we cannot find out what caused that to happen."⁹

Steven Weinberg, a Nobel laureate in Physics, said at the moment of this explosion, "the universe was about a hundred thousands million degrees Centigrade...and the universe was filled with light."¹⁰

The universe has not always existed. It had a start...what caused that? Scientists have no explanation for the sudden explosion of light and matter.

3. Does God exist? The universe operates by uniform laws of nature. Why does it?

Much of life may seem uncertain, but look at what we can count on day after day: gravity remains consistent, a hot cup of coffee left on a counter will get cold, the earth rotates in the same 24 hours, and the speed of light doesn't change -- on earth or in galaxies far from us.

How is it that we can identify laws of nature that never change? Why is the universe so orderly, so reliable?

"The greatest scientists have been struck by how strange this is. There is no logical necessity for a universe that obeys rules, let alone one that abides by the rules of mathematics. This astonishment springs from the recognition that the universe doesn't have to behave this way. It is easy to imagine a universe in which conditions change unpredictably from instant to instant, or even a universe in which things pop in and out of existence."¹¹

Richard Feynman, a Nobel Prize winner for quantum electrodynamics, said, "Why nature is mathematical is a mystery...The fact that there are rules at all is a kind of miracle."¹²

4. Does God exist? The DNA code informs, programs a cell's behavior.

All instruction, all teaching, all training comes with intent. Someone who writes an instruction manual does so with purpose. Did you know that in every cell of our bodies there exists a very detailed instruction code, much like a miniature computer program? As you may know, a computer program is made up of ones and zeros, like this: 110010101011000. The way they are arranged tell the computer program what to do. The DNA code in each of our cells is very similar. It's made up of four chemicals that scientists abbreviate as A, T, G, and C. These are arranged in the human cell like this: CGTGTGACTCGCTCCTGAT and so on. There are three billion of these letters in every human cell!!

Well, just like you can program your phone to beep for specific reasons, DNA instructs the cell. DNA is a three-billion-lettered program telling the cell to act in a certain way. It is a full instruction manual.¹³

Why is this so amazing? One has to ask....how did this information program wind up in each human cell? These are not just chemicals. These are chemicals that instruct, that code in a very detailed way exactly how the person's body should develop.

Natural, biological causes are completely lacking as an explanation when programmed information is involved. You cannot find instruction, precise information like this, without someone intentionally constructing it.

5. Does God exist? We know God exists because he pursues us. He is constantly initiating and seeking for us to come to him.

I was an atheist at one time. And like many atheists, the issue of people believing in God bothered me greatly. What is it about atheists that we would spend so much time, attention, and energy refuting something that we don't believe even exists?! What causes us to do that? When I was an atheist, I attributed my intentions as caring for those poor, delusional people...to help them realize their hope was completely ill-founded. To be honest, I also had another motive. As I challenged those who believed in God, I was deeply curious to see if they could convince me otherwise. Part of my quest was to become free from the question of God. If I could conclusively prove to believers that they were wrong, then the issue is off the table, and I would be free to go about my life.

I didn't realize that the reason the topic of God weighed so heavily on my mind, was because God was pressing the issue. I have come to find out that God wants to be known. He created us with the intention that we would know him. He has surrounded us with evidence of himself and he keeps the question of his existence squarely before us. It was as if I couldn't escape thinking about the possibility of God. In fact, the day I chose to acknowledge God's existence, my prayer began with, "Ok, you win..." It might be that the underlying reason atheists are bothered by people believing in God is because God is actively pursuing them.

I am not the only one who has experienced this. Malcolm Muggeridge, socialist and philosophical author, wrote, "I had a notion that somehow, besides questing, I was being pursued." C.S. Lewis said he remembered, "...night after night, feeling whenever my mind lifted even for a second from my work, the steady, unrelenting approach of Him whom I so earnestly desired not to meet. I gave in, and admitted that God was God, and knelt and prayed: perhaps, that night, the most dejected and reluctant convert in all of England."

Lewis went on to write a book titled, "Surprised by Joy" as a result of knowing God. I too had no expectations other than rightfully admitting God's existence. Yet over the following several months, I became amazed by his love for me.

In addition, such manifestations could also target the state of Israel, conceived as a Jewish collectivity. No one in the world disputes that as human beings we are all the same. No one has a right to accuse a religion or community or nation or ethnicity in the world. 

But, when you look closely at the above EUMC definition of antisemitism, you will realize that it is ambiguous, not specific, broad based, loosely worded and can be interpreted in different ways.  The following points can be deduced from the above definition.  

(1) You cannot blame Jews; individually, or as a group, or collectively to have harmed people or  responsible for any wrong doing in the world.  

(2) You cannot criticize Jews individually (even if they are convictedcriminals). You cannot criticize Jewish community institutions or religious facilities (even though they are openly or clandestinelyinvolved in unlawful activities). 

(3) You cannot criticize the State of Israel for its open apartheid policies.    

(4) The words 'perception' and 'manifestation', used in the above definition are subjective. Like, if someone who simply looks at a Jew, can be interpreted as 'manifestation of antisemitism'.  Alternatively if someone goes to local police complaining about his Jew neighbors who are harassing him, can be interpreted as  'antisemitism'.

The above 'definition' makes Jews a 'super privileged class' in human society and demonizes 7 billion people, as slaves. It is denial of fundamental rights and freedom of expression of people all over the world.

As per Jewish virtual Library, an Israeli Govt sponsored Organization, there areapproximately 14 million Jews in the world, accounting for 0.002% of the world's population of 7 billion. All 14 million are good, except a few hard-core Zionists.  Zionist criminals do not represent Jewish society; rather they are a scar and source of embarrassment for Jewish community in the world. Because of them, the Jewish community gets targeted in the world. 

Antisemitism laws are not made for good Jews, because in our modern society good people do not need any statutory protection. They are liked by one and all. Look, US Ex-President Bill Clinton married his daughter to a Jew.  During 1901-2012, a total of 171 Jewish people received Nobel Prizes in various fields. They have contributed in the development of various scientific fields in the world and we applaud them for their outstanding works.  Whenever you see a good thing, you will appreciate it and whenever you see a bad thing, you will criticize it.  It is natural.  

Antisemitism laws are a safe statutory passage for hard core extremists in Jewish society to get away with their crimes. In effect, these are "Antizionism Laws",protecting criminals in Jewish society. Antisemitism laws provide blanket protectionfor  hardcore Zionists who are rich and powerful in Israel, US, Europe and elsewhere. These laws protect goons; evil mongers, mafia dons and corrupt politicians who are free to do anything in the world under statutory protection and no one, including sensible members of Jewish community, have a right to criticize them. 

Zionists influential lobby blackmails politicians in US, Europe and other countries and force them to pass antisemitism laws which are harmful to their own countries.  Zionists are using these laws against anyone, including members of Jewish community, so that their roles in organized crime, economic offenses, repression of defenseless people, pornography industry, radical homosexual movement, radical feminist movement, etc., could be kept secret from people.

Similarly, the 574 page UN Goldstone Report published in 2010 found that the State of Israel had deliberately targeted civilians and civilian infrastructure in Gaza during 2008-2009 "Operation Cast Lead", which are premeditated war crimes.

The invasion of Gaza saw 1,400Palestinians killed and more than 21,000 Palestinian buildings, factories and apartments destroyed. The UN Human Rights Council approved this report onOctober 16, 2009 and UN GeneralAssembly approved it on November 5, 2009.

International War Crime Tribunal in Brussels has called upon International Criminal Court ( ICC ) to investigate Israel's crimes against humanity.

 

It is reported on March 18, 2013 that 'The Russell Tribunal' has called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) in Brussels to investigate crimes committed by the Israeli regime in the occupied Palestinian territories. It also called for a special session of the UN Special Committee against Apartheid to examine Israel's crimes.

Before the bodies are brought, the electricity is switched off in the area and family members of the deceased are not allowed to touch the wrapped up body.  Israeli Government provides funds for organ harvesting. Ze'ev Ben-Yechiel of Israel National News, reported on September 6, 2008 that a team of Russian archaeologists discovered remnants of the Capital of Jewish Khazar kingdom in southern Russia.

Jews persecution in European Countries

BRIEF HISTORY OF ZIONISM

 

 

Zionism movement was started by  radical Ashkenazi Jews around 1880s. Hovevei Zion  ( חובבי ציון ) (Lovers of Zion) were some radical groups formed in 1880s in Eastern Europe to push Jews to migrate to Palestine, then part of Ottomanempire.  The fragmented 'Lovers of Zion' Groups were later merged to form abroad based Zionist Organization. 

 

 

The First Zionist Congress was held in Basel, Switzerland, during August 29-31, 1897. It was convened and chaired by Theodor Herzl (1860-1904), the founder of modern Zionism.  The Congress formulated a Zionist platform, known as the Basel program.

Zionist Terrorism in Palestine under British Mandate

 

Britain ruled Palestine during 1918-48 under the League of Nations Mandate, which followed Balfour Declaration - 1917 in which Britain promised Jews a national home in Palestine. 

 

During 1939-48, Zionists extremists used terrorism as a means to accelerate establishment of an independent Zionist State.  It is reported that hundreds of violent attacks were carried on local Palestinians. The terrorist groups like Haganah, Lehi, Irgun, etc., killed more than 5000 Palestinians and scores of British security personnel. The organized attacks resulted in exodus of over 7,50,000 Palestinians from their homes.  After formation of Israel in May 1948, the terrorist groups transitioned themselves into mainstream political parties. 

 

The Zionist terrorists  headed by Menachim Begin bombed King David Hotel in Jerusalem on July 22, 1946 in which 91 people were killed.  It was one of the deadliest terror attacks in Palestine.  Menachim Begun personally accepted the responsibility.

Menachim Begin (1913-1992) was born in Poland in a militant Zionist family.  Hefled to Russia in 1939 where he was arrested and jailed for many crimes. He moved to Palestine in 1943 and ran a dreaded terrorist gang.  In 1977 he became Prime Minister of Israel.  His role in Palestinian mass killings and their torture is widely known all over the world.  

 

 

Many of us will be surprised to know that the above known terrorist, responsible for killing of thousands of Palestinians and British nationals, was awarded  Noble Peace Prize in 1978 for signing Camp David Accord.

  

The Camp David Accords were signed byEgyptian President Anwar El Sadat andIsraeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin on 17 September 1978, following thirteen days of secret negotiations at Camp David.

A major massacre of Palestinians occurred on Friday, April 9, 1948, in which an entire Palestine village Deir Yassin, with its 750 inhabitants was wiped out. Orthodox Jews living in the United States consider Israel as Zionist State, an oppressor killing civilians for the past 60 years continuously. They protested in New York in June 2011 in large numbers against Israeli oppression in Palestine.

Is it anti-Semitism if someone calls Zionism as Racism?

(2) On November 10, 1975, United Nations General Assembly passed  resolution 3379 declaring Zionism as Racism. 

 

The UN General Assembly based "Resolution 3379" on its definition of racial discrimination, adopted in 1965.  According to the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination; racial discrimination is - "any distinction, exclusion, restriction or preference based on race, color, descent, or national or ethnic origin which has the purpose or effect of nullifying or impairing the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on an equal footing, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural or any other field of public life." As a definition of racism and racial discrimination, this statement is unassailable and, if one is honest about what Zionism is,  and what it signifies, the statement is an accurate definition of Zionism.   Read more... 

 

The UN cited many other declarations; in support of its '3379 Resolution', whichinclude the following: 

(a) Resolution 77 (XII) adopted by the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the Organization of African Unity at its twelfth ordinary session, held at Kampala from 28 July to 1 August 1975, which considered "that the racist regime in occupied Palestine (Israel) and the racist regime in Zimbabwe and South Africa have a common imperialist origin, forming a whole and having the same racist structure and being organically linked in their policy aimed at repression of the dignity and integrity of the human being.

(b) Political Declaration and Strategy to Strengthen International Peace and Security and to Intensify Solidarity and Mutual Assistance among Non-Aligned Countries, adopted at the Conference of Ministers ofForeign Affairs of Non-Aligned Countries held at Lima from 25 to 30 August 1975, which most severely condemned Zionism as a threat to world peace and security and called upon all countries to oppose this racist and imperialist ideology.  Read more.

The resolution was approved during the tenure of U.N. secretary general Kurt Waldheim.

However, in 1991, Israel made 'Revocation of Resolution 3379' a preconditionfor its participation in the Madrid Peace Conference. Under duress from the then US President George Bush, the UN adopted the resolution 46/86 on December 16, 1991, saying "the General Assembly decides to revoke the determination contained in its resolution 3379 (XXX) of 10 November 1975".

(3) Israel has unique records; (a) contempt of  four Geneva Conventions, (b)defiance of UN Resolutions 181, 194, 242, 338, and others,  (c) opposition to several multilateral and international human rights conventions, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights,  and much more.

The Zionists consider themselves as a super race among human beings. The official supremacist policy of Israel was reported in 'The Jerusalem Post', October 18, 2010 by Ovadia Yusef,  Chief Rabbi and the Head of Rabbinic Authority in Israel, who claimed that the purpose of Jentiles (non-Jews) is,  to serve Jews. He also claimed that it is absolutely moral for Jews to kill non-Jews and steal their organs for use by Jews.

(5) In an Article titled "Zionism as a racist  ideology, reviving an old theme toprevent Palestinian ethnocide",   Kathleen Christison and her husband WilliamChristison, both CIA Officers, wrote the following:

Despite the vehement knee-jerk opposition in US to any discussion linking Zionism with racism, serious scholars in the world and serious Israelis have begun increasingly to examine Zionism critically.  Unlessthe United States’ blind support for Israel is undermined  and unless it is recognized that Israel’s drive to maintain dominance over the occupied Palestinian territories and neighboring Arab States is motivated by an exclusivist racist ideology, no one will ever gain the political strength or the political will necessary to force Israel to abandon its greed and accept establishment of a truly sovereign andindependent Palestinian State.

It is a well known fact that Israel’s control over the occupied territories is to assert Jewish control, taming Palestinians into submission and squeezing them into ever smaller, more disconnected segments of land or, failing that, forcing them to leave Palestine altogether.

 

It is totally obvious to anyone who spends time on the ground in occupied Palestine territory that the animating force behind the policies of the present and all past Israeli governments in Israel and in the occupied West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem has always been a determination to assure the predominance of Jews over Palestinians. Such policies can only bedescribed as racist, and we should stop trying any longer to avoid the word.   Read more...
